forge an alliance for introducing global investor-targeting services

Dickenson and Preqin have entered into an agreement to collaborate together for offering global investor targeting services for PE funds in India.

As the owner of the IVCJ franchise, which includes journals, research reports and several PE centric Conferences and workshops, Dickenson brings its strong knowledge of the Indian private equity marketplace to the table. Preqin brings a highly researched and intelligent approach to the global fundraising market in India. As a leading business intelligence provider with in-depth profiles of over 4,500 private equity LPs globally, including pension funds, insurance companies, banks, foundations, endowments, family offices, fund-of-funds, sovereign funds and others, Preqin possesses an  in-depth view of the global investor marketplace.

In the wake of heightened global interest and a significant ramp-up witnessed in the private equity marketplace over the last 2 years, India represents a vibrant and growing Private Equity marketplace. Not surprisingly, several new funds have been established, with many more on the anvil. A total of 132 new funds focusing on the region have already successfully achieved a final close since 2007, and there are a further 156 funds currently on the road seeking an aggregate $68bn in new commitments. With this collaboration in place, Indian fund managers now have access to what is arguably one of the most cost-effective and in-depth investor targeting services available. As per the director of Dickenson, Manoj Saha - "In the current difficult market conditions, we all know that fund raising will take longer than before.
